This place is so popular! I went here at 8:30am and was able to get a seat. But while stepping out of the restaurant (around 9:30am), there are already some people waiting outside.
I got the 【Mixed Berry French Toast】which is delicious! Plenty of fresh blueberries and strawberries. And the portion size is large- 4 pieces of toast and I had to take half of them home.
The Ice Coffee I ordered is also good! Need to mention that the ice they used is not made with water, but with coffee as well! This is very considerate- you could finish your coffee slowly while not have to worry about it getting less flavored!
We enjoyed our breakfast outdoors this morning and it couldn't have been a better start to our island day. I ordered the Nutella strawberry crepes and my mother ordered the cherry French toast with cream. Both were spectacular!
Wanted a light breakfast and coffee away from the hotel. I was afraid this place would be super packed on a Saturday morning during tourist season and all. Nope, it was perfect! Seated immediately, food came out hot and super fast. The service was excellent. Everyone was helpful and super nice. Like how it should be. It was just such a breath of fresh air to get actual good customer service. I had no problem leaving a 50% tip on my check. Thanks French Bakery for a great experience!! I was too hungry to take a picture of my Great White omelet. But got the delicious cappuccino. 😋
Pros: beautiful atmosphere and tasty food.
Cons:
1. Stumbled over the folding wood sign at the check in desk (it was sitting at the corner half folded up and I didn't see it... proceeded to lose my shoe. I told the boy someone was going to get hurt on it and he didn't respond. I later saw the same kid drop some rolled up silverware on the floor as he walked through the restaurant, then proceed to pick it up and PUT IT IN THE PILE OF THEM THEY SEAT PEOPLE WITH. Yep, someone used a napkin/silverware that was on the floor today.
2. Menu is more than what is shown on the website.
3. Looked plenty staffed (and maybe at 30% capacity), but our waitress was exceptionally unattentive, to the point of us having to get up to ask another employee at the bakery area if she could get us some boxes (which she did, but with little enthusiasm).
I will say, our waitress was nice, but it was a little irritating to watch her wait on the large table near ours 3-4 times before she checked back in on our table for 2. Maybe that was why our coffee and food weren't super warm when they came out??? I dunno.
Even after all of that I'm considering giving it another shot on our way back home on Friday, just haven't decided yet. The food/coffee was very good (even without being super warm,) as was the fresh loaf of bread I bought. I know places have off days and I hope today was just one of them. If I go back I'll update my review, just gotta decide if I wanna make a $60 gamble.
Walking in, everything in the bakery section looks mouthwatering! The food itself is decadent and savory! Fantastic service, as well as a charming atmosphere!
Amazing atmosphere and everything was delicious. The white chocolate pumpkin latte was perfection - so rich and creamy and not overly sweet. The quiche was so rich and flavorful, and the mixed berry crepes were so fresh and fruity, again not too sweet.
Wow! Double Wow! This is a must stop for breakfast or brunch. Plenty of choices available including omelets, crepes, and of course, French toast. I had the French toast with mixed berries. The berries were fresh, and the French toast was delicious. I had a side of bacon which was crispy and tasty. The service was super friendly and the atmosphere was cool and comfortable. Highly recommend.
Service was quick and friendly. Food was delicious, I went back the next day for brunch again. Highly recommend.
